Well, it's official! After months of speculation, we can now confirm that James Gunn's Superman: Legacy has found its Clark Kent and Lois Lane. David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan are set to team up in the highly anticipated Superman reboot as confirmed by the director himself.

As it stands, key details about Superman: Legacy have remained scarce but according to reports, it will see Clark Kent in a world where superhumans already exist as opposed to what the DC Extended Universe established that he's the first meta-human on Earth.

Naturally, DC fans are more than thrilled with the latest developments regarding Superman: Legacy but surprisingly enough, there are folks who are apparently unhappy with the studio's casting decisions.

While Corenswet has always been a favorite amongst fans to become Henry Cavill's Kryptonian successor, some aren't pleased with the 29-year-old actor's casting.

Aside from the fact that he shares a striking resemblance to the Man of Steel star whose shocking exit from the franchise left many devastated, folks have already been critical of Corenswet's physique and according to them, he's not Superman material because he looks too "skinny" compared to his predecessor.

On Twitter, some fans were quick to point out that Corenswet should bulk up if he wants to be a believable Superman. What do you think? Check out some of the reactions below:

Of course, people are entitled to their respective opinions but in my view, some fans are just trying to be nitpicky. We're still seven months away from Superman: Legacy's filming and when you think about it, Corenswet has all the time in the world to get himself in tiptop shape for the role. That includes bulking up.

Hopefully, he and Brosnahan will be able to prove the naysayers wrong. Personally though, I'm quite sold on this pairing.

Superman: Legacy is slated for theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
