The beloved Kdrama, Strong Girl Bong Soon, is getting a spinoff series. This time around, the show follows her cousin, Nam-soon. Here's the list of Strong Girl Nam-soon cast members who will be joining the spinoff show.
Strong Girl Nam-soon features a new list of characters. The story will focus on Nam-soon along with her mother and grandmother. The three share the same extraordinary strength, which helps them fight the drug problem in their city.
The show will include the following actors:
Lee Yoo-mi as Gang Nam-soon
First up, we've got Lee Yoo-mi who stars as the titular Gang Nam-soon, a girl with superhuman strength. Nam-soon flies back to Korea after getting separated from her parents in Mongolia. Nam-soon is described as a bubbly and eccentric girl.
You may remember Yoo-mi as the selfless player in Squid Game, which is completely opposite her character in All of Us Are Dead. Other than these two hit shows, Yoo-mi starred in Doctor John, Welcome to Waikiki, and Cheo Yong 2: The Paranormal Detective.
Kim Jung-eun as Hwang Geum-joo
When Nam-soon reaches Gangnam, she meets her biological mother, Hwang Geum-joo (played by Kim Jung-eun). Geum-joo has the same ability as Nam-soon. She is described as a rich woman who has become a philanthropist ever since her daughter went missing.
As an actress, Jung-eun has made several films and TV shows. Her most notable projects include Lovers in Paris, Korean Peninsula, and I Am Legend.
Kim Hae-sook as Gil Joong-gan
Kim Hae-sook also stars in the show as Nam-soon's maternal grandmother, Gil Joong-gan. She shares the same superhuman strength like her daughter and granddaughter.
The veteran actress has starred in numerous films and TV shows too. Some of her most famous shows include The Hospital Playlist, Tomorrow, Inspector Koo, Divorce Attorney Shin, and Start-Up.
Ong Seong-wu as Gang Hee-sik
Ong Seong-wu also stars in Strong Girl Nam-soon as Gang Hee-shik, a young detective who just graduated from police university.
Considering Seong-wu is a new actor, he hasn't made a lot of movies and TV shows yet. But his most notable ones include 20th Century Girl, Seoul Vibe, and Would You Like a Cup of Coffee?
Byeon Woo-seok as Ryu Shi-oh
The last major character in Strong Girl Nam-soon is Byeon Woo-seok who stars as the villain Ryu Shi-oh. His character is said to be the CEO of a sales company called Dugo, but he is secretly selling drugs.
Woo-seok starred in 20th Century Girl, Record of Youth, Welcome to Waikiki 2, and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
Strong Girl Nam-soon Cameos
Back in March, it was confirmed that Park Bo-young and Park Hyung-sik will be making a cameo in the series.
The two are reprising their roles from the original series, Strong Girl Bong-soon, Do Bong-soon and Ahn Min-hyuk.
There is no other available information regarding their cameos right now. However, their cameos promise to be a welcome treat to the avid fans of the series.
