Stranger Things Star Millie Bobby Brown Was Almost In Game Of Thrones

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was almost in Game of Thrones.

In a new interview with Preview, the actress revealed that she auditioned for the role of Lyanna Mormont, a character introduced in the sixth season of the HBO hit.

"Yeah, that was the role I went for," Millie said with a laugh. "But I got Eleven [of Stranger Things] instead! I'm not bitter," she noted. The role ultimately went to the talented Bella Ramsey, who fans loved.

The character's debut was around the same time as the premiere of Stranger Things, so even though Brown lost out on a cool Game of Thrones gig, she landed a lead role in a successful Netflix series as well, which ultimately made her famous overnight.

Ramsey, on the other hand, played the role for two more years with the fourth episode of Season 8 titled "The Last of the Starks" as her sendoff.

Brown will reprise her role as Eleven in the third season of Stranger Things. A new trailer for the hit show's long-awaited return has recently been released along with a slew of posters showing everybody is all grown up. The young actress has recently been promoting Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which also stars Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga.

The synopsis for Stranger Things Season 3 reads:

It's 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up. School's out, there's a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood.
