Stranger Things: Kate Bush Breaks Silence on Her Song Being Popular Again Thanks to Season 4

After binge-watching the first volume of Stranger Things season 4, chances are Max's favorite song "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush has been stuck in your mind since it was highlighted all throughout the episode, especially in the fourth episode where it became the way for Max to be saved from the possession of Vecna. As a result, the song topped the charts again and now the artist behind the hit song is now speaking about it.

The official Twitter account of Netflix posted a statement from Bush herself thanking the fans for supporting the song and expressing her gratefulness for her song being given a "whole new lease of life" now that it has topped the charts around the world again.

"You might’ve heard that the first part of the fantastic, gripping new series of Stranger Things has recently been released on Netflix," Bush wrote. "It features the song 'Running Up That Hill' which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show. I love it too! Because of this, 'Running Up That Hill' is charting around the world and has entered the U.K. chart at No. 8. It’s all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song."

She concluded, "I wait with bated breath for the rest of the series in July" and signed off with "Best wishes, Kate."

It is great to hear Bush's statement regarding her song's resurgence again thanks to the recent season of Stranger Things. In some ways, it is also an introduction of today's generation to the artist, who has been beloved for decades, especially in the 1980s which was the peak of her career. It looks like she is very delighted that her song is getting recognition and appreciation again.

It would be interesting to see if the song will be highlighted again in the last two episodes of the season. However, either way, the song has made its way to different charts around the world and it looks like it will be remembered by today's generation long after the entire season has been released.
