Did Storm get her powers back from the Midnight Cholla in X-Men '97 episode 6? Ororo Munroe struggled to put her life back together after losing her powers earlier in the series, but how did she retrieve them? Was it from the healing cacti? Read on to find out.

What is a Midnight Cholla in X-Men '97 Episode 6?

Forge had been poisoned when The Adversary bit on his shoulder and inflicted poison into his body. According to the creature, there's nothing else that could heal the man.

On the contrary, though, when Forge used the powers of his mother's spellbook, there was also information on what could heal the purple poison from The Adversary: a healing cacti called the Midnight Cholla.

As Forge's mom had written in her book, the cacti grow in nearby caves as it doesn't need sunlight: Snowsnake Tower.

Its powerful magic comes from its aloe, where the medicine can heal just about anything, but it didn't answer whether this was the reason Storm regained her powers or not. So, should the cacti be merited?

Did Storm Regain Her Powers Due to the Healing Cacti?

As much as that would have been the answer to Storm's powerless state, the Midnight Cholla was not the reason how she got her mutant powers back.

Instead, X-Men '97 episode 6 titled Lifedeath Part 2 showed that it was not the X-Cutioner's neutralizer that took away her powers. Sure, it may have been the external factor, but internally, there was more.

Storm had to rebuild her trust in herself and believe in the reality that she lost faith in her powers, all because she once wondered what it was like to be a human being than a goddess.

And so, in that cave, not only had Storm conquered her claustrophobia, but she had also recovered her powers and flew out of the caves to save Forge with the Midnight Cholla's powers.
