Stephen Amell is preparing for Arrow's upcoming eighth season, which would be the last one for the show. He is also included in the highly-anticipated Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths coming this year as well. But Amell might be hinting that he could possibly play more than one character for the event.

Amell recently tweeted an intriguing update that has fans curious about what he's exactly up to for the show. The actor writes about The Spectre in a seemingly clever manner. You can check out his tweet below.

Heroic Hollywood says that their source revealed Stephen Amell would become The Spectre sometime between the five-episode crossover. But there's no telling if he would be playing The Spectre as Oliver Queen or Jim Corrigan.

The Spectre is a "cosmic entity" as well as a "physical embodiment of God's vengeance on Earth." Bonded to a human soul, he uses his divine powers to punish the wicked in very creative ways. The character was created by Jerry Siegel and it first appeared in More Fun Comics #52 back in 1940. The most recent Spectre was in Infinite Crisis #4 from 2006. The Spectre also appeared in NBC's Constantine which was played by Emmett J. Scanlan.

Amell becoming The Spectre for the crossover isn't definite yet but it surely is interesting to know that Amell might be the choice for the Spectre's role. What do you think of Amell as Spectre? Share your thoughts below!
