Stargirl Showrunner Says JSA Easter Eggs Will Lead to Bigger Stories

Have you been tuning in to Stargirl after realizing that the series has some awesome Easter Eggs? There's some good news from Geoff Johns. The showrunner has just confirmed that those little Justice Society of America teases could actually lead to bigger stories that may go beyond the DC Universe show.

Johns recently spoke to Comicbook.com where he confirmed that fans have a good reason to be excited about the JSA Easter eggs. That's because Alan Scott's Green Lantern or Johnny Thunder's pen are actually hinting at what's in store in the future.

"We go deep into the lore because we love the lore," Johns said. "People want to say, 'Oh look, an Easter egg of the pink pen or the green lantern' but those aren't Easter eggs. Those are pathways to new stories. And what those stories are, my hope is we get to continue to tell these stories with more seasons of the show."

Interestingly, Johns also teased that these clues could go beyond the series.

"We'll see. But everything leads somewhere. And so, there's no throwaway. There's nothing that's a throwaway mention, there's nothing that's a throwaway prop, there's nothing that's a throwaway anything. It might not be something we get to immediately, but it's something we have plans for," he said.

We're loving the idea that Stargirl could actually lead to a JSA show in the future. For now, this has yet to be confirmed by DC Universe but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Stargirl airs on DC Universe every Monday nights.
