Stargirl is arriving at the DC Universe and while the show is set to focus on Brec Bassinger's Courtney Whitmore, the Justice Society of America will play a major role as well, and it seems like two founders of the iconic team will make an appearance.

The most recent Stargirl trailer shows a glimpse at the Flash and Green Lantern. Geoff Johns, executive producer and writer for the show, weighed in on the possibility of these characters' appearances, specifically, Alan Scott and Jay Garrick's version of the heroes. in a recent interview with IGN.

"[Green Lantern and Flash] are spoken of and they exist in the JSA. There's a picture of them in the first episode, and there's plans in the future for things," he said. "But Jay Garrick and Alan Scott, to me, are always the elderly statesmen. They're the big heroes of the JSA and their shadow is very long and they're great characters."

Johns pointed out that they are part of the original JSA and their legacies will certainly be felt in the show. However, he says he can't "spoil too much about it" but he can "leave it at that."

Of course, fans couldn't count on Garrick and Scott showing up in the show but rest assured that Stargirl will be honoring these characters. Whether or not the series features Arrowverse actors that played Earth-2 versions, fans of the JSA might want to check it out.

Stargirl premieres on May 18 on DC Universe and May 19 on The CW.
