There have already been a few names confirmed to direct at least one episode for the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. Adding to that growing list is a filmmaker that was rumored to be involved with the production around 2 months ago.

Taking to Twitter, Ant-Man filmmaker Peyton Reed shared a photo of a director's chair with his name on it, with the Mandalorian's helmet sitting on top of it. This image seemingly confirms that Reed will be directing at least one episode for the second season of the Star Wars series. Star Wars Day is certainly an appropriate date to confirm such news and fans can't wait to see his work on the show.

Aside from the photo, Reed didn't provide any further info, only the hashtag #MayThe4thBeWithYou. So it's currently unclear how many episodes he'll be directing, but early reports suggest he'll be in charge of two.

As it stands, filming for The Mandalorian's second season has finished, so the show is likely on track for its scheduled release date this October. Aside from Reed, other directors confirmed for season two are Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, and Robert Rodriguez.
