Star Wars: The Mandalorian Reportedly Wraps Filming

It looks like Star Wars: Episode IX isn't the only major project that has wrapped up this week. A new report claims that the Disney+ series The Mandalorian has finished production for its first season.

According to Super Hero News, several crew members working on The Mandalorian celebrated the wrap on social media. Most of the posts confirmed that Season 1 has been completed, leading to speculations that the Star Wars series is getting a second season that has not yet been announced.

Unfortunately, the crew has reportedly started deleting their posts to avoid any trouble with Disney. Hopefully, we'll get an official announcement about The Mandalorian in the next few days. Perhaps we'll get one from the show's creator Jon Favreau really soon.

Favreau himself has not yet given an update on the production of The Mandalorian. The Lion King director's most recent post is still the surprising photo of Elon Musk visiting the set of the series.

The show will star Pedro Pascal, who has also been rather secretive about the project. For now, the Wonder Woman 1984 actor is focused on promoting his new film Triple Frontier, which also stars the recently retired Batman Ben Affleck, Episode IX's Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and Tron: Legacy's Garrett Hedlund.

The synopsis for The Mandalorian reads as follows:

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

The Mandalorian has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the series is expected to premiere on Disney+ by late 2019.
