Fans of the MandoVerse are rejoicing following Lucasfilm's bombshell announcement that Din Djarin and his Force-wielding companion will be coming to the big screen.
In case some of you haven't heard yet, a new Star Wars film titled The Mandalorian & Grogu has just been announced to be developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the same power duo who brought us the groundbreaking Disney+ series along with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
The movie is set to enter production later this year. Now, just a day following the blockbuster news, a new rumor claims that Lucasfilm is planning big things for Mando and Grogu's theatrical adventure.

The Mandalorian & Grogu: Lucasfilm Reportedly Turning Project Into a Trilogy of Movies
According to MakingStarWars, Lucasfilm is planning to turn The Mandalorian & Grogu into a trilogy. The outlet, led by Star Wars insider Jason Ward was also the first to report about the project. Of course, the production company has yet to confirm anything so it's still best to take this one with a huge grain of salt.
As it stands, other details about the film have yet to be announced but it's already safe to say that Pedro Pascal will be physically involved in the project. The actor took to his official Instagram to hype up the upcoming film which could mean that we'll once again see Din Djarin take his helmet off.

It remains unclear if Din and Grogu's big-screen crossover could signal the end of The Mandalorian as a series but if a trilogy does happen, then there's no need for Mando and Grogu to have their own show.
