Star Wars: The Last Jedi Novelization Teased L3-37's Fate

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY]

L3-37 was a new droid character that was introduced to us in the movie, but she died sometime around the second act, only to be uploaded into the Millennium Falcon's hard drive. The cool thing is, L3's fate was already foreshadowed way back in the novelization for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Here's an excerpt from the book describing how R2 can "talk" to the Falcon:

The fact that the Falcon actually has "personalities" stored in it is fun, and it's fascinating to know that L3 is one of them. It also makes sense that the Falcon would be into "romantic gossip" since Solo also has a scene were L3 tells Qi'Ra that she thinks Lando is in love with her.

If you want a hint from the movies, there's also a scene in the Empire Strikes Back where 3PO is attempting to talk to the Falcon:

The Solo movie is chock full of Easter Eggs and references, but at the same time, still manages to be entertaining for anyone who isn't familiar with the franchise. Despite the mixed reviews from critics, I'm sure fans will love the classic adventure story that this film brings. I know I loved it.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now out in theaters.
