Star Wars: The Last Jedi Actor Says Broom Boy Should Return as a Jedi

There is little doubt that Star Wars: The Last Jedi confirmed that there are several people around the galaxy who are Force-sensitive. One of these characters just happens to be Temiri Blagg, the child from Canto Bight who helped Finn and Rose Tico escape with the Farthiers. So is there any chance we'll get to see "Broom Boy" again in the future? Temirlan Blaev believes that his character could end up becoming a Jedi in an upcoming film.

Blaev recently spoke to YouTuber Jamie Stangroom about his character and not surprisingly, the young actor thinks there's a story that needs to be told after the events in The Last Jedi.

"I think it was unexpected, but everyone's reaction, it just said, 'Who is this boy? What could this mean? Is he the next Jedi? Who is he?'" Blaev said. He then revealed that the script hinted at Temiri playing a larger role in the future.

"I think that brought a lot of talk up about who my character really was. After I read the script, I kind of understood that he was Force-sensitive. I thought to myself that could mean something about my character," Blaev said.

So is Blaev returning in another Star Wars film? The 12-year-old stated that he hasn't been called back just yet but he's hoping to hear from Lucasfilm again soon.

"A lot of people were asking me [about returning], and I said, 'We'll have to wait and see if I get called back. But I guess I kind of understand why it happened," Blaev said. "There could be a chance to actually continue the story of the character. I think it could happen. I would be up for it."

For now, it is unclear what the next Star Wars movies will be about. Nevertheless, it wouldn't be a surprise if Temiri turns up again and plays a larger role in the future.
