There is little doubt that people are already excited about The Book of Boba Fett. After all, the new Star Wars series focusing on the bounty hunter looked like a darker version of The Mandalorian. Not surprisingly, a stunt performer on the show has confirmed that the series will be "grittier" than the other Disney+ project.
The new details come from stunt performer Brendan Wayne who has been working on The Book of Boba Fett. Wayne was recently a guest on the Star Wars Sessions podcast where he confirmed that Robert Rodriguez has been directing the show's episodes. He also revealed that he had discussions with the director about how different Boba is from Din Djarin of The Mandalorian.
At one point, Wayne pointed out that Rodriguez was determined to explore a part of Boba's life that fans have not yet seen. He also stated that the filmmaker summed up Boba as "all killer, no filler" and that this will be reflected in the series.
"I think that's what we as an audience, I think, are going to get from The Book of Boba Fett. A lot more of that kinda feel. He gets even grittier than Mando did. I feel like he doesn't have the choice because he really was a different kind of character," Wayne said.
This is an exciting revelation and we're loving how Rodriguez's involvement with the series is going to be more than just one episode. Rodriguez had previously helmed Chapter 14: The Tragedy, the sixth episode of The Mandalorian Season 2. Interestingly, that was the same episode where Boba pretty much proved that he is a force to reckon with.
For now, The Book of Boba Fett has not yet been given an official release date and we have yet to see a teaser for the series. Nevertheless, the new Star Wars show is already expected to premiere on Disney+ in December 2021.
