Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Official Trailer Reveals Look at Yaddle

The latest trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi unveils the first look at Yaddle and fans are rejoicing seeing the Jedi Council member back in action. During the recent D23 Expo presentation for Lucasfilm projects, the new animated series finally got a trailer.

The trailer of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi had a little bit of everything for the fans of the prequels. Fans of the Clone Wars and Ahsoka series are very happy, and we even got a glimpse at Qui-Gon in the trailer. But, the most surprising reveal in the trailer was the first look at Yaddle after her departure from the Council.

You can check out the official trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi below:

The databanks of the Star Wars franchise address her as: "The quiet Yaddle was a member of the same mysterious species as the revered Jedi Master Yoda. Yaddle sat on the Jedi Council with her fellow green-skinned diminutive Force-user. By the time of the Clone Wars, she was no longer on the Council."

The animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi features the story of a Jedi from the prequel era in every episode. Those Jedi include Count Dooku from his Jedi days, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, and Qui-Gon Jinn.

"When I fly back and forth working on The Mandalorian, I'd write stories on the plane to pass the time. And I got this story," Dave Filoni explained at the panel during D23 Expo. "I wanted to explore some characters...and base them in ideas I had while making The Clone Wars...that wouldn't be a full show."

Filoni also teased previously that some of the entries in the series could be quite serious, "Are they fun, happy? I don't know, it gets rough," he explained. "Some of these are dark." He wondered, "I'm picturing the other shorts, and if I chose to show a Dooku short today, I don't think we'd be talking about all the cute things in Star Wars. I think we'd be talking about something else. It would be like, 'Oooh, that was rough!'"

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is set to be released on October 26, 2022 on Disney+.
