One of the upcoming Star Wars series that is currently on its way is Skeleton Crew, an Amblin Entertainment-style coming-of-age story that is set around the same timeframe as The Mandalorian and other shows.
For the past few months, we've been hearing a lot of major updates about the series as it wrapped production earlier this year including the other actors that are joining Jude Law for another adventure in the galaxy far, far away.
Now, it looks like another actor has been confirmed to have joined the cast and it's someone who is known for playing one of the most iconic sitcom characters in the '90s.
In a recent interview during an appearance at the Edmonton Oilers NHL game (via The Direct), Jaleel White, who is famously known for playing Steve Urkel in Family Matters, revealed that he joined the cast of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
He teased that his role is a "pirate" and it required him to undergo two-hour makeup every day on the set, which suggests he is likely playing an alien character in the series.
"Oh wow, I’m actually gonna be on a new series on Disney+ starring Jude Law called Skeleton Crew," the actor said.
"So that’s a big change for me, man. I had to do two hours of makeup every day. I get to be a pirate.
While White didn't reveal how big his role is, it is still significant nevertheless to hear that he is playing a "pirate" which is a hint that he is potentially going to be one of the antagonists that the main characters will face in the series.
It is exciting to see what else the series have in store besides what they revealed so far. As we've seen Lucasfilm's pattern of hiding their secrecy in the past, they are definitely keeping more things under wraps than we might expect.
Besides Law, the main cast also includes Kerry Condon, Tunde Adebimpe, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith. Jon Watts and Christopher Ford serve as the creators of the series.
