One of the Star Wars shows that is currently on its way is Skeleton Crew, an Amblin Entertainment-style coming-of-age series that is set after the events of Return of the Jedi and around the same time frame as The Mandalorian. So far, most of the details remain under wraps with the exception of Jude Law's casting.
As reported by Slash Film, Lucasfilm finally revealed the full cast list of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew during the recent Star Wars Celebration event. One of the names that were announced as part of the ensemble is Kerry Condon, who recently earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in The Banshees of Inisherin.
However, they didn't provide any details regarding Condon's mysterious role in the series. In addition, they also announced that Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, and Tunde Adebimpe are part of the main cast.
As for the directors of the series, they officially confirmed that Jon Watts, David Lowery, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Schreier, and Lee Isaac Chung are helming the episodes.
Condon's casting in the series is certainly exciting information to hear since her career has been on the rise thanks to her recent Oscar nomination and she has proven that she is a talented actress across various roles. Now, it is curious to see what kind of role she plays in the series.
As described by Lucasfilm during the presentation, the series "follows four kids who end up on an adventure to make their way home after being lost in the galaxy following a discovery they make on their home planet." Watts and Christopher Ford serve as the showrunners. Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni also executive produce.
