Star Wars Shows For Finn And Poe Reportedly In Development

Star Wars: Episode IX might be ending the Skywalker Saga, but it doesn't mean that Lucasfilm's putting an end to the stories of a few fan-favorite sequel trilogy characters. Word on the street has it that Lucasfilm is currently working on a number of Star Wars spinoff series for Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+.

While we already know that Lucasfilm is working on shows like the upcoming Rogue One spinoff series centered on Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian, these new reports say that sequel trilogy characters like Finn (Jon Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) are in development too. According to We Got This Covered, rumor has it that Finn, Poe, Lando (Donald Glover) are all getting their own shows on Disney+. The report says that these projects are in very early stages of development, so we can't really be sure if Glover, Isaac, or Boyega will be able to reprise their roles for Disney.

The site also reported on Emilia Clarke's Qi'Ra getting series, however, DisInsider writer Skyler Schuler claims that this tidbit isn't the least bit true and that Lucasfilm would be throwing Han his own series instead.

Of course, as with all leaks and rumors, we advise fans to take everything with a grain of salt. We can't really trust what the internet has to offer until Lucasfilm makes a confirmation, which might take some time considering the fact that the studio would probably decide on making Finn and Poe announcements after Star Wars: Episode IX's release. The studio wouldn't want any leaks now, would it?

Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
