Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was pretty flawed but the movie did give fans some cool reveals, including the true color of Rey's lightsaber; yellow. It's a good color that differentiates her from Luke Skywalker, Anakin, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, all of whom had blue or green sabers. Well, it looks like she isn't the first user of this lightsaber in the canon since Marvel's Star Wars comics have teased Luke Skywalker getting his hands on this colored weapon.
The news was announced on Marvel.com, showing us a nice comic book cover of the renowned Jedi wielding this lightsaber. We know that the current arc of Star Wars has Luke looking for a new lightsaber and it seems like his journey will lead to this color somehow. Considering how we see Luke with a different colored lightsaber in Return of the Jedi, we aren't expecting this to last long.
Unless they re-release Return of the Jedi where Luke has a yellow lightsaber but that would be crazy and no one would want that.
Anyway, fans will be able to see Luke with his yellow lightsaber in Star Wars #6, which will be coming out this May by Greg Pak and Jesus Saiz. Marvel's Star Wars comics have been doing a good job at filling out some of the lore, while occasionally indulging in fanservice, like that one arc where the classic Star Wars crew find out what the Rogue One cast went through.
