We finally got a lot of awesome updates on The Acolyte at Star Wars Celebration 2023 and the cast have shared some interesting details about working on the upcoming Disney+ series. For instance, Rebecca Henderson has spoken about filming her scenes for the highly anticipated show.

Rebecca Henderson attended Star Wars Celebration along with the rest of the cast of The Acolyte and she pointed out that the series will have something new to offer from the High Republic era.

"We’re doing something in The High Republic that hasn’t been seen in live-action before, and seeing how that relates to what already exists, I think, will be the most exciting for the fans," Henderson said.

The Single Drunk Female star also admitted that she enjoys filming on the set of The Acolyte.

"[T]he sets are fully built. So, when I am in the Jedi Temple I am in the Jedi Temple. You know, we’re not on the volume, so we’re not imagining what is in front of us, and behind us is not a lot of blue screen. The aliens are puppets and we are speaking with the puppets," Henderson said.

Henderson isn't the only one who had fun working on The Acolyte. Co-star Manny Jacinto confessed he loved filming for the Star Wars series and found a way to wield a lightsaber on the set although his character isn't a Jedi.

"My extent of playing with the lightsabers is stealing [Dafne Keen’s] or Charlie [Barnett’s] lightsabers and taking selfies in the locker room. So I don’t really get to do that much," Jacinto said.

In addition to Henderson and Jacinto, The Acolyte will star Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung Jae, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margarita Levieva, and Joonas Suotamo. The series will consist of eight episodes and is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
