A recent report revealed that fans are not happy that an Internet connection is still required to install Star Wars Outlaws in the physical copies of the game for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.

While the concept of requiring an Internet connection to install the game on the disc is not new, fans are still calling it a bad practice.

"It unfortunately seems that Ubisoft has started putting that 'comfortable not owning your games' into effect," Reddit user u/Stealthinater1234 wrote in a comment.

Some fans have also expressed their disinterest in purchasing the game after learning the restrictions, especially with the massive price that they have to pay for the physical copy.

So far, Ubisoft has not commented on the backlash and it is likely that they are retaining their current plans for its physical release despite some of the fan responses.

Star Wars Outlaws is scheduled to release on August 30.
