We're all excited to see Oscar Isaac again when Star Wars: Episode IX comes out, where he will reprise his role as fan-favorite Poe Dameron. However, fans have been curious about the next role we'll be seeing Isaac in and he just suggested something that will get everyone hyped. While speaking with IGN, Isaac revealed that he is interested in portraying Solid Snake for the Metal Gear Solid movie.

During a roundtable discussion with the website, IGN host asked the cast of Netflix's Triple Frontier, which includes Isaac, which video game character they would like to portray. The Star Wars actor was quick to point out that he would like to play "David" himself, Solid Snake. Few video game characters are as iconic as Solid Snake so it's easy to see why Isaac would want to be him.

Turns out that Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director of this video game movie, isn't just aware of this but actually wants this casting to happen. On Twitter, Vogt-Roberts revealed that he was the one who commissioned artist BossLogic to make that image of Isaac as Solid Snake. The post actually states that the ball is in Isaac's court, hinting that the two have already talked about this.

Since there is still no release date for the Metal Gear Solid movie, there's a good chance that Vogt-Roberts can convince Isaac to play the part. That would be great because anyone who has seen Isaac act knows that he can pull this tole of. Let's hope that happens.

In the meantime, Star Wars: Episode IX will be coming out on December 20.
