There is little doubt that Fennec Shand is one of the most interesting characters in the Star Wars universe today. Although she initially debuted in The Mandalorian, Fennec has shown up in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and is set to return in another highly anticipated series.

But is it possible that the assassin is set for something even greater in the future? Ming-Na Wen has teased the possibility that her character could eventually wield a lightsaber and it's not just any color.

Wen has always been a huge fan of Star Wars and being a part of the franchise is undoubtedly exciting for her. When asked by Screenrant what her hopes are for her character, Wen immediately admitted that she wants Fennec to becoming a Jedi.

"Well, selfishly - that she becomes a Jedi! I mean, didn't we all want to become Jedi when we were younger? How crazy would that be, right?" Wen said. She then revealed that she already envisions Fennec with a lightsaber of a particular color.

"I've already pictured that she would have an orange lightsaber because that's her color," Wen said.

We're not exactly surprised that Wen wants Fennec to be a Jedi. After all, there's nothing cooler than playing a character who has a lightsaber. Although we love how Fennec is right now, it would be awesome to see her in a lightsaber duel. In the meantime, it's important to point out that this development has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

A younger version of Fennec recently appeared in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and fans are hoping she will show up again in the series. In addition to that, the character is set to return in The Book of Boba Fett and might reappear in The Mandalorian Season 3. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
