However, just days after it was reported that the sequel to the acclaimed Star Wars game has been delayed, new information about Fallen Order 2 has surfaced. According to a report from MakingStarWars, the upcoming sequel will feature newly-designed Purge Troopers.

The outlet claims that the baddies, who made their official Star Wars debut in the original Fallen Order game will now share a resemblance to the Shore Troopers first seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Interestingly, they also said that the Purge Troopers will be making their first live-action appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

The extent of the said redesign remains to be seen but judging by the outlet's report, the Purge Troopers will be getting a complete overhaul. Now, it'll be interesting to see if the video game's lead character Cal Kestis will also be getting an upgraded design although that doesn't sound too farfetched at this point.

As it stands, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently eyeing a 2023 release.
