Star Wars New VR Game Development Gets Hyped Up With Mysterious Job Posting

Are you looking for a new job? You may want to consider working for Lucasfilm. Industrial Light & Magic has just posted a job opening for what could be an exciting new Star Wars VR game that could serve as a follow-up to Vader Immortal.

The official ILMxLAB Twitter account has tweeted out the job posting along with some mysterious details. Check it out below.

"We're hiring a Senior Character Artist - a key member of the entire art team at ILMxLAB who works closely with Concept and other Discipline Leads to define and refine distinctive, memorable characters," the tweet reads. It then provides the link to the job posting as well as the hashtags #JoinTheForce, #gamedev, and #gamedevjobs.

The tweet doesn't specify which project the new Senior Character Artist will be working on. However, that didn't stop fans from speculating that the job posting confirms that ILM is already developing a new VR game that will focus on The High Republic. On the other hand, it could also be for the next episode of Vader Immortal so it would be best to take this with a grain of salt.

For now, Lucasfilm and ILM have not yet confirmed if the High Republic VR game is already in the works. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
