Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Gets Huge Crowds On Rise Of The Resistance’s Opening

Last year, Disney opened up Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge thinking that fans would crowd the Star Wars theme park. To the surprise of many, the amusement park didn't gather as many visitors as the Mickey Mouse House would like, mostly because of the ticket prices and the lack of attractions.

Now, it looks like those numbers have significantly improved with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance's opening. Disneyland opened Rise of the Resistance earlier today, and according to posts of fans present in Galaxy's Edge, the brand new attraction has managed to draw in massive crowds throughout the entire Star Wars theme park.

Social media sites like Twitter are flooding with photos and videos from fans documenting their experience on Disney's new attraction in Galaxy's Edge park in Walt Disney World.

According to the posts, visitors were waiting in line for Galaxy's Edge to open as early as 3 am. That's more than three hours before the theme park was ready to open its gates and welcome guests. Walt Disney World allowed guests to get inside Galaxy's Edge at 6:30 am, though the early birds couldn't really do much but have some breakfast while waiting for the rides opened at 8 am.

It looks like Disney's finally gotten the number that it was expecting when it built Galaxy's Edge. Now that the Star Wars theme park has its second main attraction, Star Wars fan are flocking to see what Disney has to offer in the newly opened area of Walt Disney World.
