Star Wars: Episode IX’s Teaser To Debut In April

Over the past few months, fans have been hoping to see the teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX make its way to the public. However, despite the anticipation building up over the third and final sequel trilogy installment, the teaser didn't even make a peep during Christmas Holidays, the New Year Holidays, and during the NFL Super Bowl Game.

Fans' best guess is that the trailer will come out during this year's Star Wars Celebration and now it looks like new reports are really pointing to an April release.

According to a new report by Star Wars News Net,Episode IX's first teaser trailer is definitely dropping during April, right before the release of Avengers: Endgame. The site's sources say that Disney plans to play the teaser right after every screening of Endgame – which is no surprise considering the fact that the film is expected to be one of the highest performing Hollywood entries this year.

April is also when Disney hosts the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, and Episode IX is expected to be a focal point during the event. Lucasfilm would want to use the convention as a means to market The Last Jedi's sequel, so it wouldn't be that shocking if the studio were to unveil the teaser during one of the panels at Star Wars Celebration.

While this report ought to be taken with a grain of salt, fans have long been resigning themselves to a teaser trailer release in April, so it all adds up really.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
