Star Wars: Episode IX Rumored To Feature ‘Multiple’ Luke And Leia Scenes

Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker might have sacrificed himself for the sake of the Resistance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but the Jedi Master is set to return in what might be a few flashback sequences in Star Wars: Episode IX. Though there's been very little information about the third and final film in the sequel trilogy, word on the street says that Luke might actually share multiple scenes with his sister, Leia Organa (the late Carrie Fisher).

According to a new rumor that's been making the rounds on Reddit,Star Wars fans are going to get a number of flashback sequences starring both Luke and Leia. The Skywalker twins didn't have that many scenes together in The Last Jedi, and when they did it turned out that Luke had only been projecting his image from Ahch-to across the galaxy to Crait. Now, we're finally going to get sequences where the twins physically share scenes together.

"Luke and Leia appear in multiple flashbacks, including at least one scene where Leia is being trained or is discussing Jedi training with Luke," Reddit user JediPaxis writes in his post. "It is also unclear if Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill filmed these scenes and will be de-aged, or if they are portrayed by younger actors and CG'd like Leia and Tarkin in Rogue One. My source has heard nothing about Han appearing in any flashbacks."

This is interesting news. Lucasfilm has used a young Leia before – the studio used computer generated graphics to project Leia's likeness on a younger actress in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. There's no reason the studio couldn't do the same for Episode IX.

Still, as with any rumor or leak, we have to advise fans to take this report with a grain of salt. It's hard to trust anything online these days, especially with the myriad of Star Wars leaks circulating online.
