Star Wars: Episode IX Production Still In Jordan With Oscar Isaac And JJ Abrams

It looks like the production for Star Wars: Episode IX is staying in Jordan for another week. A new photo confirms that director J.J. Abrams is still in Jordan along with Oscar Isaac.

Most of the filming for Episode IX has been in Pinewoods Studios in the UK. However, it was recently revealed that the cast and crew have been flying to Jordan to shoot a few mysterious scenes. We're not sure exactly what's being filmed in the Arab country. However, we can now assume that it involves Poe Dameron as Isaac photobombs a fan's picture with Abrams. Take a look at the tweet below.

It's interesting that the fan didn't notice that Isaac was behind him the whole time but it certainly confirms that the X-Men: Apocalypse actor is in Jordan with Abrams. There's no sign of Isaac's other co-stars so there are speculations that Poe has been sent on a special mission that will be shot in the country.

The Episode IX storyline is still a huge mystery although there are several theories about what will happen in the sequel. A recent theory suggests that Luke Skywalker might be resurrected in the film with the help of Darth Vader's dark secret in Mustafar. Some have speculated that Rey will be the one responsible for bringing back her former mentor. However, we still believe that Luke will appear as a Force ghost so the possible resurrection should be taken with a grain of salt.

Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to continue production until early 2019. The film is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
