Star Wars Episode IX Opening Scene Is All About Kylo Ren And Luke Skywalker

The official title and trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX has yet to be unveiled. However, we might already have some details on the film's opening sequence, and it's all about Luke Skywalker.

A new leak may have revealed the first scene in Episode IX (via Express). Interestingly, it looks like Kylo Ren is still not over his humiliating defeat on Crait in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

"A sequence in which Kylo Ren is giving a lecture to the Knights of Ren about the threat of Luke Skywalker even after his death," the leak reads. "The main weapon of the Resistance is spreading word throughout the galaxy about the brave act Luke made in Crait."

There's a possibility that Kylo still believes that Luke is his true enemy. According to the leak, there is another sequence where "describes Kylo Ren on his throne with the Knights of Ren kneeling before him and showing them a hologram of Luke, reminding them who the enemy really is."

We already know that Luke had his dramatic death in The Last Jedi. However, it sounds like Kylo is still obsessed with his former mentor and wants everyone to know that he remains a dangerous enemy to the First Order. Could this confirm that Luke will play a major role in Episode IX? It's best to take the details with a grain of salt.

Disney and Lucasfilm have yet to announce the official title of the film. In addition to that, the first trailer has not yet been released. In the meantime, Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20.
