Star Wars: Episode IX Might Reveal Luke Skywalker As Full-Power Jedi Master

Star Wars: Episode IX might be the last time that we will see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. With that in mind, there are speculations that we might finally get to see Luke at his peak, as the most powerful Jedi Master.

Luke's power has always been teased in the film. In the original trilogy, we saw him as he briefly trained with Obi-Wan Kenobi before heading to Dagobah under Yoda's supervision. Even Darth Sidious saw Luke's potential and wanted to turn the boy into his new apprentice. However, we never got to see Luke become a full-fledged Jedi Master.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi also showed us what Luke was capable of when he used the Force and projected himself on Crait to fight Kylo Ren. So how powerful was Luke if he is able to do a Force Projection despite being disconnected from the Force for so long? According to ScreenRant, Episode IX could feature flashback sequences showing Luke in full Jedi glory.

The flashback scenes might not just be a way to give Luke one last hurrah. It could also reveal how Supreme Leader Snoke managed to corrupt Ben Solo although the boy was hidden away in Luke's Jedi temple. Hopefully, Episode IX will finally answer some questions and give fans exactly what they want.

The idea of seeing Luke in his prime is certainly a welcome one since it would be a great tribute to the character. However, it is important to point out that this is just based on theory so it's still best to take the information with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, we're crossing our fingers in hopes for a full-power Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
