Star Wars: Episode IX Concept Designer Completes His Work And Shows Off His Creations

Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy is coming to a close next year with the release of Star Wars: Episode IX, and for Star Wars concept artist and designer Jake Lunt Davies, that means the end of his contract with the studio.

Taking to Instagram, Davies announced that he just recently completed his work on The Last Jedi sequel, posting a collage of images that feature all the different creatures and vehicles that he's created for the Star Wars franchise.

"So this week my contract ended on Star Wars EpIX….which kind of means after 5 years and 5 movies, I've finally finished on Star Wars. As a kid, this was my childhood ambition and I still can't believe that I've now actually had this opportunity to be part of and contribute to the legacy of the Star Wars galaxy," Davies wrote on his post.

Check it out down here:

Some of these creations come from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, some from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, some from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and some from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Of course, the post excludes any of the designs that Davies made for Episode IX – Lucasfilm wouldn't be too happy with the artist giving away any of the creatures or vehicles that have yet to appear in cinemas next year. The studio keeps its films close under wraps before its release, leaving fans hanging dry until the studio decides to begin marketing its various projects. Right now we'll just have to wait for Lucasfilm to begin the campaign for Episode IX.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
