Star Wars Episode IX Brings Back Heroes Actor Greg Grunberg

We were teased about it before but it looks like Heroes actor Greg Grunberg is going to be in Star Wars: Episode IX. Grunberg did tease fans about his return, stating that there was a good reason why he was growing his beard again. Most fans also figured that he would be in it since JJ Abrams is directing it and Grunberg is in almost every project that Abrams makes.

Discussing Film has confirmed that Grunberg will be in the movie. The website claims that his representatives said he would be in the next Star Wars installment and that should be good enough for fans. Granted, he isn't the main character or relevant supporting cast member but fans of his will be happy that he's in it.

For those unaware, Grunberg plays Resistance pilot Snap Wexley who was seen in a lot of the scenes in The Force Awakens. He was mostly seen in the space battles, which were fine back then and still good fun now, even though they were a little too similar to A New Hope. Wexley actually debuted in Chuck Wendig's Star Wars novel Aftermath so his inclusion was a nice one.

Personally, I liked him in Heroes and he was cool in LA Noire but this is a lot of fanfare over a minor character. Still, I'll never complain about someone getting paid and contributing to society, even in entertainment.

Star Wars: Episode IX is coming out on December 20, 2019.
