Star Wars Director JJ Abrams Is Appearing On “The Late, Late Show” Later This Week

Solo: A Star Wars Story is down to its last few weeks in cinemas and fans have started focusing their eyes on news about Star Wars: Episode IX. Now, with the final chapter to the Star Wars sequel trilogy gearing up for production, word has it that director J. J. Abrams is going to make his way to James Corden's The Late Late Show later this week.

Though Broadway World says that the Star Wars director won't be alone, this Tuesday Star Wars fans are going to see Abrams and Cher pop up in the late night television show. The focus of the episode might be a sketch featuring members of the English Football team, but everyone's hoping that Abrams is going to give fans a few updates on Star Wars: Episode IX.

There hasn't been that much news about the third and final installment in the sequel trilogy, and everyone's been looking for more info on the film ever since Solo started winding down in cinemas. It's hard not to look forward to Episode IX knowing that the film's going to be starting production soon.

Besides, fans are pretty eager to know what's going to happen after Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The film might have been a divisive entry, but it sure did shake things up.

Lucasfilm's latest project, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is currently screening in cinemas. Star Wars: Episode IX makes its big premiere on December 20, 2019.
