Star Wars: Diego Luna Admits Being Happy That Andor Is Ending Soon

There is little doubt that things will be heating up in Andor Season 2 and fans are hoping the Star Wars show will be renewed for yet another season. However, Diego Luna is not interested in working on a third season of the Rogue One prequel. The Elysium star just admitted he is happy that Cassian Andor's story will be ending soon.

Diego Luna recently spoke to Variety about Andor Season 2 and interestingly, he confessed that he is relieved that the Star Wars series is coming to an end.

“This is the last season for Andor,” Luna said. “It is just a two-season show, which is really important for my mental health. But knowing this is the end, I want to enjoy it and get the best out of this experience.”

It might be a disappointment for fans who were hoping that the show will stretch out over several seasons but it's also great to know that Cassian Andor's story will get the conclusion it deserves. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what happens to Cassian in Andor Season 2.

Although he is ready to end Cassian's journey, Diego Luna did admit that he is glad that the character's story was revisited so fans will get a better understanding of his actions in Rogue One.

“What this character does in Rogue One is quite remarkable, and what we are building shows what needs to happen in someone’s life to be willing to sacrifice everything,” he said. “For me, this has always been a story where the people bringing change, the ones you can call heroes, are just regular people doing extraordinary things.”

For now, Andor Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
