Star Wars Day Celebration Reveals Exciting Guest List

Given the wide phenomenon that Star Wars spread throughout the entire galaxy, even those who are not fans of the franchise know what “May the force be with you” refers to, and this famous catchphrase was the origin of “May the Fourth be with you” to commemorate Star Wars Day. It’s a celebration among fans to honor the franchise’s everlasting impact.

Star Wars Celebration is a four-day event celebrating all things Star Wars, with major announcements, immersive exhibits, an interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, costumes, and other surprises. Other than the major Star Wars news that will be announced at the convention, celebrity guests are what usually drive the fans to attend the celebration.

As the date of the event draws near, Star Wars is time to time revealing the stars that will grace the event, and so far the full list looks promising, with Aidan Cook, Anthony Daniels, Ashley Eckstein, Dee Bradley Baker, Denis Lawson, Giancarlo Esposito, Gwendolyn Christie, Hayden Christensen, Indira Varma, James Arnold Taylor, Joonas Suotamo, Kate Sackhoff, Mads Mikkelsen, Matt Lanter, Matthew Wood, Ming-na Wen, Silas Carson, and Vivien Lyra Blair expected to attend.

New Star Wars movies slated to release in 2025, 2026, and 2027 are set to be announced at Star Wars Celebration this year, including the rumor that the upcoming movie by director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and writer Damon Lindelof will star a person of color.

“This is what I was getting at… So, I’ve heard that the lead of [Obaid-Chinoy and Lindelof’s Star Wars movie] will be a person of color, and likely – though this is not confirmed – from what I took from [the conversation], it was a man. Couldn’t get a name or anything like that.” Jeff Sneider revealed on The Hot Mic podcast.

Star Wars Celebration returns to the ExCeL Centre in London on Friday through Monday, April 7–10, 2023. ExCeL is located at Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, London, E16 1XL, United Kingdom.
