Star Wars Comic Book Canon Proves Han Solo Is A Better Pilot Than Darth Vader

It's official. Han Solo is actually a better pilot than Darth Vader, well, at least from a certain point of view.

Marvel Comics' Star Wars #52 is now out on shelves, and it looks like the newest issue of the comic book series confirms that everyone's favorite smuggler is actually a better pilot than his father-in-law, Vader. The Star Wars comic book series has been detailing the events between Star Wars: Episode IV- A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, and in the latest issue, readers get to see Vader chasing down the Millennium Falcon in his own TIE Fighter.

In the comic, Han is as cheeky and as confident as ever, telling Luke that he doesn't need to panic because "it's only Darth Vader" who's after him. Using every little resource to outrun Vader, Han and the team manage to survive by dodging missiles at the very last second and using debris from a shattered Rebel ship as cover.

Of course, it's pretty debatable whether Han and the Falcon's survival mean that the smuggler's a better pilot than the Sith Lord Vader – after all, Han had a lot of luck on his side. However, it's pretty hard to deny the fact that Han's a skilled pilot of his own, and he's a survivor.
