Star Wars Battlefront II is Going for Less Than $10 This Week

It's Thanksgiving tomorrow, and with Black Friday set for the end of the week, a lot of great deals have been coming our way. A huge slash in price has just been announced for Star Wars Battlefront II and you can buy the AAA game for less than 10 bucks.

As per Gamespot, the game is now worth only $7.49 with the 2015 Battlefront going for $10.

Though the game did admittedly have a disastrous launch last year, DICE has been hard at work polishing the game to meet expectations. Where the game launched with criticisms about a shite progression system and ridiculous price for heroes, DICE has then removed all microtransactions and has fixed the player progression (among other things).

For now, the devs are gearing up for the release of a new hero (Obi-Wan) and a new map (Geonosis), and players have been slowly turning back to the game. Last month saw the release of General Grievous, with the promise Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku arriving early next year.

Admittedly, the game still has a few bugs in it, but DICE has been quick to update and has been very open to the community. Until now, the loot boxes do nothing but give players a daily 500 credits for logging in. I'd actually want some "loot" with these loot boxes; if not, I'm better off if they just scrapped them.

Though some may still call this game "dead," it really is far from it. The community is thriving, and we have more material to come next year. Fingers crossed everyone will get over the disastrous launch and appreciate Battlefront II for what it really is—a pretty sweet Star Wars gaming experience.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now on sale for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
