Star Wars Battlefront II Community Calendar Lists Down January's Special Events

Star Wars Battlefront II may be seeing the release of Count Dooku this month, but DICE has so much more in store for us in January. Besides the new heroes, it looks like the rest of the month will be giving us a chance to grind for cards.

We've had double XP events before, but this is the first I've heard of triple XP events. It looks like each weekend is going to give players a chance to boost specific play elements of the game. The first weekend will be with heroes and villains after that will be on the regular troopers, then on the third, we get triple XP on starfighters.

Honestly, with such a scarce player base on the Starfighter assault lobbies, it's admittedly hard to boost your stats with any ships. This whole boost should be able to even out the new players with the ones who have been with the game for a while. It's hard to catch up when you're going against a team of starfighters who have all maxed out cards.

As for the final weekend of the month, it's just a reduced cost for heroes who are era-appropriate to a selected map. I guess this would be fun for canon nuts, seeing as they probably go crazy when they see prequel Obi-Wan running around Starkiller Base.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
