Star Wars: Adam Driver Teases Episode IX Spoilers On SNL

There is little doubt that people are hoping the cast members of Star Wars: Episode IX will somehow slip up and offer a hint at what will happen in the highly anticipated sequel. Adam Driver actually wanted to share some spoilers when he hosted Saturday Night Live last night. Unfortunately, he kept getting interrupted.

Driver's monologue was mostly about trying to spoil Episode IX. The Logan Lucky star repeatedly tried to reveal interesting details about the film, only to be interrupted by SNL cast members who wanted to discuss their summer vacations.

At one point, Driver decided that he wouldn't share Episode IX spoilers and instead confirmed that Ewoks are real. Just as he was about to reveal where the furry creatures can be found, he is yet again interrupted by Pete Davidson. The comedian asked how Driver's summer was but the actor was clearly more interested in how Davidson spent his vacation.

Driver's failure to spoil Episode IX isn't the only thing that was disappointing about the SNL episode. Fans were hoping that the Star Wars actor would do a skit featuring Matt the Radar Technician Guy yet again. Unfortunately, there was no sign of Matt throughout the episode. We did get a few jokes about Driver going Kylo Ren on the cast members, which would be understandable since they kept stopping him from sharing spoilers.

Just a quick note to point out that we are aware that Ewoks do not exist. But in case that Driver wasn't lying, we're thinking of heading out to Michigan to investigate. Purely for science, of course.

Episode IX is currently being filmed in England. It is possible that Driver will immediately go back to the studio to continue working on the sequel after his appearance on SNL.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
