It has been years since Marvel's Agents of SHIELD concluded and it remains one of the shows that is not confirmed to be canon to the current MCU. Star Wars actress Ming-Na Wen speaks up about the possibility of her returning as Melinda May in the franchise.
Ming-Na Wen has played a lot of roles in her life where she is best known for voicing Mulan, playing Fennec Shand in the Star Wars franchise, and being the Cavalry, Melinda May, in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.
Her most recent role is voicing Fong Wing in Max's original animated series, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai as part of the launch of Max this month.
Speaking with ComicBook.com while in an interview for Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Ming-Na Wen reveals that there is a role that she is looking forward to play again -- Melinda May from Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.
Ming-Na Wen says, "I really can't tell what's going to happen, but I do know that having played her for seven years, 22 episodes every year, I miss being her."
Wen added, "As an actor, we give birth to these characters and they become a part of us; they're in our DNA, and I do miss her being, so I hope one day that I get to bring Agent May back."

The status of whether Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is canon in the MCU remains a question floating in the waters as the ABC series seems to be long forgotten in the franchise after it concluded in 2020.
While not confirmed whether it is canon, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD portrayed a lot of events that are connected to the MCU where Phil Coulson assembles teams to help the Avengers and other heroes.
A fan-favorite from the series, Melinda May has built a strong character development from being a deadly agent to a self-made woman who earned the title of "The Cavalry."
Melinda May proved that there is more to the person than what meets the eye and she slayed every opponent she had to face that she became the Cavalry herself, a term used for a battalion of soldiers.
Ming-Na Wen is expected to be back as Fennec Shand in the Star Wars franchise and her voice will debut on Max this May 23rd for Gremlins: Secrets of Mogwai.
