Lucasfilm has already confirmed Mark Hamill's return as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX and a lot of fans are guessing that the Star Wars legend might be appearing in the final Star Wars sequel trilogy installment as a Force Ghost, one that would guide Rey (Daisy Ridley) in her adventures in the movie.
Now, according to a new report by Express, word has it that Luke's Force Ghost just might actually share a scene with a Sith Force Ghost in Episode IX, and it looks like fans are going to see some lightsaber action.
In an alleged scene description taken from the set of the third and final film in the sequel trilogy, Luke finds himself inside a hut leading to a tunnel that may or may not be in Ahch-To. The Jedi Master is holding with him an ignited green lightsaber, and behind him is a black figure with red hues holding a red lightsaber of his own.
"The figure comes closer to Luke to the point where Luke takes a strike at the figure, only for it to vanish and reappear in back of him again," the description continues. "The figure draws itself closer to Luke, takes a swing with its lightsaber at Luke before it crumbles to the ground into nothing."
While it's not clear whether this new description points to a flashback or whether fans get to see Luke as a Force Ghost, the idea of a Sith Force Ghost sounds pretty exciting. So far fans have only seen Jedi as Force Ghosts in the Star Wars franchise, so the idea of seeing a Sith return from the dead as a Force Ghost can be pretty thrilling. There has been concept art from The Last Jedi showing a Sith Ghost visiting Luke on his island in Ahch-To, so this scene may have some truth to it.
