Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Opening Scene Teases Michael Burnham's Red Angel In Nasty Crash Landing

The premiere of Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 is only a week away and CBS All Access decided to drop a special treat for fans who have been waiting for the show's return for a long time. The opening scene from the series has just been released and it features Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) in her Red Angel suit getting into some unexpected trouble right away.

The clip was dropped at New York Comic-Con's Star Trek Universe panel and it opens with the mysterious Cleveland 'Book' Booker (David Ajala) being chased by several ships. At one point, an alien accuses him of stealing something that they stole but Book simply shoots back that it doesn't belong to them in the first place.

Amidst all the chaos, Book suddenly spots an anomaly nearby and immediately tries to avoid it. However, it is too late as Michael gets spit out of the anomaly and collides into his ship. From there, the Red Angel crashes against several other ships, causing Michael to make a nasty crash landing.

Of course, Michael isn't the only one who is set to crash. Book's ship is coming down as well and this could be the way that the two meet in the first episode.

It has certainly been a long wait for Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 but judging from the opening scene alone, it could be well worth the wait. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what happens next.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 will premiere on CBS All Access on October 15.
