Stan Lee Is In Google’s List Of Top Ten Searches For The Year

It looks like Stan the Man was among the top searches on Google this year.

Google just recently released its list of trending searches in 2018, and Marvel nabbed two top spots for the year, one thanks to Black Panther which was the sixth most searched for topic of the year, and Stan lee which became the eighth.

Of course, Lee's spot on the list barely comes as a surprise. This year has seen a lot of heavy news surrounding the Marvel comic book legend. Early in 2018, word had it that Lee had been the subject of elder abuse at the hands of his daughter J.C. and a group of men who had been manipulating both her and her father. Then, the heartbreaking news came last month that Lee had passed away after being taken to a hospital from his Hollywood home, breaking the hearts of fans, friends, and family all around the globe.

For a long time, the internet was filled with tributes to the Marvel comic book legend and cameo king, many fans posting pictures they had taken with him at conventions, and celebrities recalling the moments they spent with the pop culture icon.

Even now, Lee continues to make the news. Fans continue to eagerly wait for Lee's various cameos in future films like Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and of course, the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame.

Today, Lee's cameo in Once Upon A Deadpool has just been revealed, leaving the Marvel fanbase in tears. Who knew the Merc with a Mouth knew how to make a classy tribute.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse premieres this Friday, December 14.
