Spider-Man Takes On Daredevil Villain Typhoid Mary in Typhoid Fever: Spider-Man #1

(Marvel Comics)

Daredevil's rogues' gallery might not be as illustrious as say Spider-Man or Batman but the few he has are some of the Marvel universe's most dangerous characters. One of them is Typhoid Mary, a character that Matt Murdock has loved and tried to help, though those efforts have been fruitless.

It looks like the deadly villainess is back and with Daredevil busy taking down Wilson Fisk, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, and the X-Men will have to deal with her.

Mary returns this October in the one-shot Typhoid Fever: Spider-Man #1, which will be written by Clay McLeod Chapman and artist Stefano Landini, while R.B. Silva provides cover art. If the cover is anything to go by, it looks like this will be the first of three one-shots, with Colossus' arm clearly being seen in this one.

Should Marvel continue this one-shot trend they've done, most recently with the Wakanda Forever stories, it looks like we will be getting Typhoid Fever: X-Men and Iron Fist after. Then again, this could just be an oversized one-shot that has a gatefold cover, which would be pretty sweet.

Details on this story are mostly vague, though old-school Daredevil fans should be happy about seeing this character again. Created by Ann Nocenti, one of the most underrated Daredevil writers, Mary made Murdock's life a living hell; sometimes literally and is definitely a threat. She should be a good threat to this kind of story.

Typhoid Fever: Spider-Man #1 comes out on October 3.
