Spider-Man PS4 Patch Notes: Everything New Added That Isn't The Raimi Suit

Fans got a Christmas present fairly early as Insomniac Games surprised everyone by adding the Spider-Man costume from Sam Raimi's movies as a free update for Spider-Man PS4. It's something fans have been asking for since DLC was announced for the game, sometimes to an annoying extent but it's a good thing that the developers didn't lose their patience with these requests.

What fans might not realize is the update actually adds a bit more than the costume, though most of us will be focusing on that. As expected, the update adds support for tomorrow's DLC Silver Lining, which is the finale for The City That Never Sleeps. Fans can also start a New Game Plus from a New Game Plus save (New Game Plus-ception?) and try out the Friendly Neighborhood difficulty, which sounds easier than the previous difficulties.

Here's a full list of the patch notes (via Gear Nuke):

New Features

- Added support for "The City That Never Sleeps – Silver Lining" story pack.
- Added "Friendly Neighborhood" Difficulty Mode.
- Added support for creating a New Game+ save from a New Game+ save.
- Added new frames and stickers to Photo Mode.
- Added 3 new filters to Photo Mode (8bit, EGA, and Retro).

Fixes & Updates

- Addressed an issue where the "A Bit of a Fixer-Upper" Trophy is not awarded after completing all puzzles.
- Addressed an issue where MJ's initial dialogue in "The Heist" DLC may not play.
- Addressed an issue where some lines of dialogue would be delayed in "Turf Wars" DLC pack.
- Addressed various additional issues.

Spider-Man PS4 is available now.
