Say what you will about Spider-Man, but the character started the whole "relatable superhero" trend that is still popular today. Pretty much every comic publisher out there is trying to have their own version of Spider-Man, but it can be difficult to emulate that success. One hero who has been relatable and interesting is Izuku Midoriya, the lead character of My Hero Academia.
One fan has decided to combine his love for Spider-Man and My Hero, resulting in one of the coolest cosplays we have ever seen. It's essentially a Spider-Man costume done in the same style a Deku's superhero costume and it looks great. We probably won't get this as DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man, but it wouldn't hurt to dream. It did work out for Midoriya after all.
The Spider-Deku costume is really sick, matching the color patterns of Deku's costume whilst also sticking with the Spider-Man motif. You won't see a silly rabbit hoodie for this costume, but his gloves, pants, and everything else matches what Deku wears on a regular basis.
Like Peter Parker, Midoriya is an underdog who used to get bullied a lot due to his lack of quirks. Unlike Parker though, Midoriya got his powers from All-Might, who decided that the boy was worthy of having the One for All power after witnessing his bravery. Even with his newfound quirk, Midoriya hasn't forgotten where he's been and continues to be humble, though his confidence has also grown.
My Hero Academia was created by Kohei Horikoshi and has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a world where everyone has superpowers, even though he was born without them. Dreaming to become a superhero anyway, he's eventually scouted by the world's best hero All Might and enrolls in a school for professional heroes. The series has been collected into 19 volumes so far and has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language release since 2015.
