Spider-Man: Far From Home Production Had Issues With Tom Holland And Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal might be playing Spider-Man: Far From Home's big bad, Mysterio, but it looks like the actor had a bit of a problem playing alongside Marvel's Peter Parker, Tom Holland.

Sure, productions might want everyone to get along with each other to make filming as smooth as possible, but it looks like Holland and Gyllenhaal got along too well that their friendship would actually ruin takes on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly,Far From Home director Jon Watts opens up about problems he's had on set, and it looks like one of the filmmaker's biggest issues is Holland and Gyllenhaal getting along just too well that they disrupt the production's time.

"Sometimes they would crack each other up, and we could not get through takes occasionally. It was a problem!" the director complained.

On the bright side, it's lovely seeing Holland enjoying his time on the set of Far From Home. Holland's always been pleasant – though the actor's had issues keeping secrets to himself. We have a lot of fun stories from the actors' time on the sets of other Marvel films like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

In the same interview with Entertainment Weekly, Holland was nervous about working with Gyllenhaal, but now it seems like the two have been getting along swimmingly.

"If you look at any interview I've ever done prior to this movie and someone asked me, ‘Who would you work with if you could work with any actor?' I would've said Jake Gyllenhaal. And when I found out it was him, I was stoked, but also really nervous. But Jake absolutely was more than I ever could have expected," Holland said.

Good to see that the two are having the time of their lives. We can't wait to see how the film turns out.

Avengers: Endgame premieres tomorrow, April 26. Spider-Man: Far From Home releases July 2.
