Besides the third Spider-Man film which was set to come out next year, Sony was gearing up for another Spider-Verse solo movie which was set to release in October 2021. Though we have yet to get a title for that movie, the film has apparently been pulled from its release date.

According to Variety, the Spider-Verse movie which was set to come out on Oct. 8, 2021 is now undated. We have no idea what this movie was supposed to be, but if we follow the rumors around, Sony was said to be working on a Kraven the Hunter spinoff as well as a Black Cat/Silver Sable team-up at one point. It's also been said that Sony is planning a Spider-Woman movie with Jessica Drew as the main character, so maybe that could have been the untitled project.

Personally, I think if Sony wants to spinoff Spider-Man, they should just focus on other versions of Spidey like they did with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There's nothing we can do about Venom anymore, but I'm sure there will be an audience that would want a live-action Spider-Gwen or maybe even a full-on Spider-Man Noir film. Then you can just build it up to a live-action Spider-Verse team-up which will bring back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Who wants to watch a solo movie about Kraven the Hunter?

For now, Sony has pushed back the release of Morbius, and the movie is now set to come out March 5, 2021. As for Venom 2, the movie is still keeping its Oct. 2 release date.
