Sony is Skipping E3 Next Year, Microsoft Gives Perfect Response

E3 has always been the place where big announcements are made but it looks like PlayStation fans won't have a reason to catch the event. Sony has decided to skip the 2019 show in favor of something else, though we don't know what exactly. The company didn't have a PlayStation Experience event this year either, making many Sony consumers worried that the PS4 doesn't have anything major to announce.

This is the first time Sony will be missing an E3 in 25 years, which has stunned many. Sony did release a statement below (via Screen Rant) and it reads a lot like a press release. No concerns are addressed, making fans feel uneasy once again, so this is going to disappoint many. Here is hoping that we get a lot of third-party games announced in the event.

"As the industry evolves, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to look for inventive opportunities to engage the community. PlayStation fans mean the world to us and we always want to innovate, think differently and experiment with new ways to delight gamers. As a result, we have decided not to participate in E3 in 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can't wait to share our plans with you."

Microsoft, Sony's biggest rival, reacted perfectly on Facebook by saying that they cannot wait to see everyone during E3, which is marvelous. The Xbox One might have some bad exclusives, but it's nice knowing that the company has a great sense of humor. If only their exclusive games were as good as this post. At least Xbox One owners have Cuphead (which you can also play on PC).

Admittedly, 2018 was a pretty good year for Sony. God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man are legitimate Game of the Year contenders, so it's great seeing them nominated. Hopefully, they have a good 2019 as well.
